Small investment helped light up the life of a new young electrician.

The Challenge

A young guy (20) was leaving his employer to set up on his own.

He lived with his parents, didn’t have any business experience, but believed in his work ethic and his drive to make things happen. He was a qualified electrician though.

The Solution

He came to me from an existing client, so I knew he could be trusted.

I chatted with him for around an hour to better understand his plans. That also allowed me to find out more about him, like his experience and his rationale for moving. It also enabled me to get to know him better and test my first assumption around trust. He was a good guy.

I was able to agree a modest facility for him to buy a second-hand VW Caddy just on a guarantee and continue his journey into self-employment. He was very happy.
